GP's voice concern over changes to benefit appeal tribunals, and the man with an electricity bill of more than 拢1,000 because of a problem with his meter.
We heard last week how a change in policy is affecting people going to Benefits Tribunals. Changes to Data Protection mean the claimant has to ask the GP for medical evidence, sort through it and get the important bits. This week the GPs tell us that鈥檚 just half of the story. We ask the GP Committee of the BMA - were they consulted? Also the man with a five and half year backdated electricity bill of more than a thousand pounds all because of a problem with a meter. What went wrong, who is responsible and does he have to pay?
