Bho Chaorain Gu Consoles

A nostalgic look back at the amazing presents that have lit up Christmas over the years.

Tha 鈥淏ho Chaorain gu Consoles,鈥 a鈥 dusgadh chuimhneachain dhuinn mu phreusantan a thug toileachas dhuinn, r猫 nam bliadhna, air madainnean Nollaig fuar. Bho na l脿ithean nuair a bhithear a faighinn oraindsearan agus si霉cairean, gu l脿ithean nam baidhseagalan agus geamanan consoil, bidh sinn a鈥 gluasad aig astar (le corra bhrag air an t-slighe!). Uair a th矛de sp貌rsail, l脿n chuimhneachain. Air a l矛bhrigeadh le Ceitlin LR Nic a鈥 Ghobhainn.

Ceitlin LR Smith presents a nostalgic trip down memory lane as we remember the presents that brought magic to cold Christmas mornings over the decades.

There are all kinds of presents - puzzles and games have come and gone over the years, from the head-scratching angst of the Rubik's Cube through to the family fun of Monopoly - while electronic games, from Space Invaders all the way through to Playstations, are abidingly popular.

Reflecting change too are the other perennial favourites that evolved with the times such as bikes - from the easy cruising Raleigh Chopper of the hazy 70s, through the daredevil BMXs of the 80s, they offered different kinds of fun.
