with the Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad

On Remembrance Sunday Kate and Jason are joined by Katherine Jenkins as the country marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.

Good Morning Sunday marks the centenary of the Armistice which brought fighting to an end on the Western Front in World War One.

The Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad are joined in the studio by the mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins as the nation remembers the sacrifice made by so many in the two world wars and in other more recent conflicts.

Jay Singh-Sohal, a trustee of the Commonwealth Graves Foundation and Chairman of the WW1 Sikh Memorial will discuss the contribution that soldiers from all across the Commonwealth made during the two World Wars and their legacy today.

Folk musician Sam Sweeney tells Kate and Jason the remarkable story behind the violin that he now plays. Its construction was started during the Great War but it lay unfinished for decades after the soldier carving it was killed in 1915. After the pieces were discovered and assembled Sam bought the violin and his new album ‘The Unfinished Violin’ has just been released.
