There were serious disturbances in the city last week with the police attacked over six consecutive nights, petrol bombs thrown and - on one occasion - live rounds fired. Referee of yesterday's final between France and Croatia - Argentinian Nestor Pitina - used VAR to determine that Ivan Perisic's handball was a penalty. This is the first time the World Cup has used the new technology and it's fair to say it's split opinions amongst pundits and fans. So did the system brought in to ensure a "fairer" World Cup work?
