A sixth night of trouble in Derry
Sixth consecutive night of trouble in Derry/Londonderry.
A sixth night of trouble in Derry/Londonderry. Just before we came on air Vinny spoke to journalist Leona O'Neill who was on the ground last night and again this morning. We also got reaction from SDLP leader Colum Eastwood, DUP MLA Gary Middleton, Sinn Fein MP Elisha McCallion and former assistant chief constable Alan McQuillan.
Also on the programme, the President of the United States - Donald Trump, has arrived in the UK. He's meeting with the PM Theresa May today at Chequers and will meet the Queen later at Windsor Castle! He has already caused a stir with comments in an interview with the Sun newspaper around UK/US trade deals. Given the controversy surrounding the POTUS, is it something that should be welcomed? And indeed would you welcome a visit to our own shores? Vinny got the views of commentators Phil Kelly and Charlie Wolf.
And, Karen Lyons is a 31-year-old Fermanagh woman who just a few years ago was planning a new life for herself in Australia when she discovered she had a very rare lung condition that may have claimed the life of her sister a few years previously. In January this year she had a double lung transplant. Vinny spoke to Karen as she approaches her 6 month check-up.
All that and more on the biggest show in the country.
