'People still fear them' - one brave woman's search for justice and standing up to paramilitary thugs

It's almost 30 years since mother-of-two Lorraine McCausland was brutally raped and murdered in a UDA-run drinking club in north Belfast. Her sister Cathy McIlvenny speaks out.

It's almost 30 years since mother-of-two Lorraine McCausland was brutally raped and murdered in a UDA-run drinking club in north Belfast. Her half-naked body was found in a stream the following day. Since Lorraine's murder, the family have been campaigning for justice. But it has been far from an easy journey, with the shadow of paramilitaries hanging over the family. Lorraine's son Craig was also murdered by paramilitaries in 2005. The family believe that the threat of paramilitary reprisals is part of the reason that the crime has never been solved. This week the police relaunched the investigation into her murder. Stephen spoke to Lorraine's sister Cathy McIlvenny, and began by asking what she remembered about her.

Also on the programme, there has been a lot of controversy over the last couple of days on the nominations for 麻豆社 Sports Personality of the Year. Carl Frampton, despite becoming a two weight title winner didn't make the short list. He said on this show that he thought it was anti Northern Irish and anti-boxing. Stephen has been speaking to former 麻豆社 Director of Sport Roger Mosey and asked him if he thought someone from each nation should be on the selection panel.

And, the number of people claiming DLA in Northern Ireland has jumped by 20 per cent in the last five years. Figures from the department of Communities show claimants are up 37,000 to 215,000 since 2011. The move from Disability Living Allowance to Personal Independence Payments or PIP has already started for new claimants - and from this month it will begin to change for people already claiming DLA. The change to PIP was meant to reform the system. But what is behind the such a significant rise in those claiming benefits because they are disabled? Stephen talks to Ben Lowry from the Newslet
