Coisir Shoisgeulach/Gaelic Gospel Choir
Slighe aig a' chiad chòisir shoisgeulach Ghà idhlig. Mary Ann Kennedy follows the selection process for Scotland's first ever Gaelic gospel choir.
Tha Mairi Anna NicUalraig a' cruthachadh agus a' stiùireadh a' chiad chòisir shoisgeulach Ghà idhlig
Bidh sinn a' leantainn sgeulachd na còisir bhon toiseachd 's iad a' taghadh nan seinneadairean a-mach à 120 tagraichean, gam faicinn a' cruinneachadh airson a' chiad uair agus gam faicinn a' clà radh na h-òrain aca 's iad a' gabhail pà irt ann an co-fharpais 'Còisir Soisgeul na Bliadhna' aig a' BhBC.
Tha tidsear salsa Coca Tenorio a' toirt cuideachadh dhaibh a' seinn òrain soisgeul mus gabh iad pà irt aig Fèis Solas agus Seirbheis Nollaig a' BhBC còmhla ris an t-seinneadair Raibeart Robasdan. Ach ciamar a chaidh dhaibh 's iad a' gabhail pà irt aig Mod 2015 agus a' seinn air beulaibh cà ch a chèile? Le muinntir na còisir à iomadh pà irt de dh'Alba, am faigh iad tìde cruinneachadh còmhla gus pà irt a ghabhail anns an dùbhlan ùr seo? An e seo toiseach tòiseachaidh rud air leth sa Ghà idhlig?
Mary Ann Kennedy lifts up the baton for Scotland's first ever Gaelic Gospel choir. We follow the selection process from the 120 applicants to the first rehearsal and the recording of their entry into the Â鶹Éç Gospel Choir Of The Year competition.
The "Soisgeul" singers discover their true gospel feelings as they loosen up with the help of salsa teacher Coca Tenorio before performing at the Solas Festival and the Â鶹Éç ALBA Christmas service concert, where they are joined on stage by singer Robert Robertson.
With the singers busy with their own choirs, how did Soisgeul go down at Mod 2015, singing in front of their peers? With the choir members coming from all over Scotland, can they find time to rehearse and take on this exciting new challenge? Is this be the start of a new National Gaelic sensation?
