Mandy Patinkin and Deborah Myers star in the classic 1945 Broadway musical. With music by Richard Rodgers and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, it's based on Ferenc Molnar's 1909 play 'Liliom' - transferring the setting to the New England coast of Maine between 1873 and 1888.
Telling the tale of the bumpy romance of fairground barker, Billy Bigelow and mill worker, Julie Jordan, it features many familiar songs including: 'You'll Never Walk Alone', 'June Is Bustin' Out All Over', 'When the Children Are Asleep', 'My Boy Bill' and 'If I Loved You'.
Carousel initially ran for 890 performances on Broadway and earned more success after opening in London in 1950.
