A look back at the life and career of blues guitarist and singer BB King, who recently died at the age of 89.
A look back at the life and career of that most influential and respected of blues musicians, guitarist and singer BB King who died last week at the age of 89.
Featuring recordings from every phase of BB King's sixty plus years as a musician ranging from his first release, Miss Martha King, from 1949, through his first hit with Lowell Fulson's Three O'clock Blues in 1951 to mainstream hits including The Thrill Is Gone. A number of BB's live recordings are also featured including Every Day I Have The Blues and How Blue Can You Get? from 1964's Live At The Regal Theatre in Chicago. His later work includes his U2 collaboration from 1988, When Love Comes To Town and See That My Grave Is Kept Clean from his final studio album, 2008's One Kind Favor.
