Jewish and Muslim ritual slaughter
Religious Jews and Muslims in the Netherlands are united in a common desire to maintain their traditional animal slaughtering methods. A bill aiming to ban ritual slaughter - where the animal is not stunned before being killed - has already received backing in the lower house of the Dutch parliament. Darren Laing reports from the Netherlands, asking why there is a campaign to outlaw these types of animal slaughter, and what effect a ban could have on the communities concerned.

Welsh independence
