Nuremberg Trials

4 Extra Debut. Docudrama about the 1945 war crimes trial combining eyewitness accounts from victims, relatives, lawyers and prosecutors. With Bernard Hepton.

On 20th November 1945, the most significant trial of the 20th century began - as Germany's Nazi leaders were indicted for waging aggressive war, crimes against humanity and inciting racial hatred - issues still of profound concern today.

This programme combines extracts from the trial with eye-witness accounts from victims, relatives, lawyers and prosecutors.

With Bernard Hepton as Geoffrey Lawrence, Henry Goodman as Robert Jackson, David Timson as Hartley Shawcross David Timson, Geoffrey Whitehead as David Maxwell-Fyfe, Mike Nussbaum as Dr Gilbert, Gerard Murphy as Hermann Goering, David Collings as Ribbentrop and Ian Hogg as Kaltenbrunner.
