Bach's Concerto in D minor for Two Violins
Terry Waite and musician Steve Hackett talk about the emotional impact of Bach's music for two violins. From July 2004.
So little is known about the life of J S Bach, yet his music opens up a world of imagination. His Concerto in D minor is often described as being like a conversation between two lovers.
David Gregory of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, rock guitarist Steve Hackett, and Terry Waite CBE, are among those moved by the music of the two violins as they imitate, interrupt and overlap each other in one of Bach's most sublime creations.
