Big-budget action fantasy about the battle for survival in a world where dry land has disappeared with the melting of the polar ice caps. One man, who has become amphibious, tries to protect survivors on an artificial atoll made from scrap metal by taking on a gang of marauding pirates. He is also intent on discovering if there is any truth in the myth that there is still some land left above water.
