New electronic music set inside an animated landscape explores the theme of “future human”: a poignant character that exists on the bridge between our digital and organic worlds. Surge is a short film created by Tom Dale Company for Dance Passion 2022.

In Surge, by Tom Dale Company, our poignant character exists on the bridge between these digital and organic worlds. A “super-human” or android pushed to the limits to feel, to sense, to achieve oneness with their digital and organic reality.

What is Dance Passion?

This is one of fourteen short films and interactive projects that explore innovative ways of capturing and experiencing dance, as part of Dance Passion - a landmark celebration of the world-class dance throughout February and March 2022. 麻豆社 Arts, in partnership with One Dance UK and supported by the Arts Council, bring you unique perspectives on the creative forces in dance, and spotlight innovation in choreography and performance.
