Text vote terms + conditions

5 Live Text Vote

From time to time 5 Live will ask you to give your opinions on various topics by way of a text vote. To take part you should listen carefully to the announcements given out on air.

Opening and closing times along with how to cast your vote and when the result will be announced will be made clear on air.

Please be aware that each vote may only be open for a short period of time and that votes cast outside the announced times will not be counted but will still be charged. Please listen carefully to announcements, instructions and opening and closing times given out on-air.

Terms & Conditions

1. Listeners can take part in the vote by sending a text message to 85058, following the instructions given out on air. Texts will be charged at your standard message rate. Please ask the bill-payer’s permission before voting.

2. Only one vote per listener will be permitted – one vote per mobile phone number. Any further votes will not count but you will still be charged. Listeners cannot vote by any other method.

3. The vote opening and closing times will be announced on air. Any votes registered outside the announced voting times will not count but you will still be charged. The result will be announced on 5 Live.

4. This is not a competition and there will be no prize for participation in the vote.

5. The 麻豆社 reserves the right to disqualify entries or suspend voting if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting. The 麻豆社 has the right to substitute an alternative selection method at its absolute discretion.

6. If, for any reason, there is a technical problem with the voting, the vote may be suspended or a contingency plan may be actioned.

7. The 麻豆社 reserves the right to change, cancel or suspend this vote at any time.

8. The 麻豆社, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
