On Friday 18th November, Â鶹Éç Radio 2 is going the extra mile to raise money for Children in Need.

Throughout the day, , , , and were offering you the chance to win one of five special prizes with some of your favourite Radio 2 presenters. Starting on Breakfast and running right up until the end of Drivetime, for one day only, you can win a different prize with a different Radio 2 presenter.

Terms and Conditions

Radio 2 – Â鶹Éç CIN Competition Day SMS Competitions Terms 2016

1. The competitions will take place from 7:00am on Friday 18 November and will run throughout the day, times detailed below.

2. Radio presenters will be asking a different question each for their show to raise money for Â鶹Éç Children in Need. Each question will have three possible answers that the contestants can choose from.

3. The competition is open to all residents of the UK, aged 18 or over, except Â鶹Éç or Â鶹Éç Children In Need employees, anyone connected with the competition and their close relatives. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested.

4. Entry to the competition is only by texting to the short code 84222. Text messages cost £5.00 (when you receive the bounce-back message referred below) plus your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates). Each text message entry will result in a donation to Â鶹Éç Children In Need of between £2.49 and £3.75 (depending on your mobile network operator). Please Note: you may enter as many times as you wish, up to a daily maximum of 6 entries per mobile phone number per competition. For each entry, the donation will go through and all correct entries will go into the automatic random selection but there is a maximum of one prize per mobile phone number.

5. To answer the question, you will need to text the keyword relevant to the competition you want to enter followed by the option (a, b, or c) for the answer you select and followed by your name (so we know who to call, should you win). Please make sure you key-in the short code and spell the keyword and the letter for your selected answer correctly.

6. If your keyword and short code are valid, and your text message is received within the specified times, you will be charged your standard network message charge and £5.00 via a bounce-back message. It may take some time for you to receive the bounce-back message. Please wait until you receive it.

7. If your keyword or short code are invalid, or your text message is received outside the specified times and dates, you may not receive a bounce-back but may still be charged your standard network message charge. You will not be charged the £5.00 entry fee and you will not be donating to Â鶹Éç Children In Need.

8. 10 People will be selected randomly from all correct entries. Radio 2 will call people back in the order they are selected until someone answers the call. The first entry to answer their phone will be the winner of the prize. The Â鶹Éç reserves the right to select at random another entrant to offer the tickets to if, after reasonable attempts, we cannot contact the selected number.

9. The prize for each competition is detailed below there will only be one winner per competition.

ART WITH ANNEKA – One Friday/Saturday in January 2017

Anneka invites 1 winner and guest to stay in W1 hotel on Friday night and then sit in on her breakfast show, the next morning. Then on to eat breakfast in the same hotel where she delivers an art lesson with watercolours in the same venue.

BALL AND BOE – Tuesday 13th

December 2016 evening at 02 Apollo Manchester “Together” Tour

You’ll have the best seats in the house and the unique opportunity to meet both Michael Ball and Alfie Boe as guests of “Live Nation”, get signed copies of their CD “Together”, plus we will throw in a meal and an overnight stay at one of Manchester’s leading hotels. Then in January 2017 come to sit in the studio on Michael’s Radio 2 Show one Sunday.

DON BLACK’S DREAMGIRLS – Either Monday 23rd January or Monday 30th January 2017

Sit in on the recording of Don Black’s Radio 2 Show in Western House, check into nearby hotel, have pre-theatre supper at famous theatre restaurant with Don and then on to the Savoy Theatre with best seats in the house to see “Dreamgirls” and possibly meeting the cast members afterwards before returning to their hotel.

CRAIG CHARLES DJ’s YOUR WEDDING – Any day apart from Saturday in the UK only (avoiding April 8th to 24th 2017)

DJ Craig Charles is making an exception for Children in Need he will DJ your wedding for a 2 hour set. Plus he will invite you to Â鶹Éç Manchester or Radio 2’s Western House, London (venue of your choice) to sit in on his Radio 2 “Funk and Soul Show”.

JOIN JAMIE AT THE CHELTENHAM JAZZ FESTIVAL – Must be available April 28th to 1st May

Pianist, R2 Presenter and Artistic Curator of The Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Jamie Cullum is offering a chance to be a VIP guest at The Cheltenham Jazz Festival which will include meeting the man himself and an overnight stay in a local hotel. Also, a chance to sit in on his Radio 2 Show in Western House early in 2017.

10. The prize is as stated. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances.

11. The Â鶹Éç will provide accommodation as required but travel and any other costs will be solely at the entrant’s expense and the Â鶹Éç and Â鶹Éç Children in Need will not reimburse the winners for any such costs. For the avoidance of doubt no other costs or expenses will be covered by the Â鶹Éç or Â鶹Éç Children in Need.

12. The Â鶹Éç and Â鶹Éç Children in Need’s decision as to the winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

13. If the winner or their guests have any accessibility requirements, these need to be disclosed to the Â鶹Éç prior to the item experience. Some of the experiences will require a minimum level of fitness to participate. The requirements will be made clear during the competition.

14. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required.

15. The Â鶹Éç and/or Â鶹Éç Children in Need reserves the right to disqualify any entries that breach these rules or are in any way fraudulent. The Â鶹Éç and/or Â鶹Éç Children in Need also reserves the right to cancel a competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control.

16. The Â鶹Éç, Â鶹Éç Children In Need, their sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any entry being lost or not properly registered or recorded.

17. Your information will be collected by IMImobile (Europe) Limited on behalf of Â鶹Éç Children in Need and will only be used to in order to run this competition and in order to help analyse our income.
