Steven Hyde

The Gatwick Baby: Abandoned At Birth

Steven Hyde was abandoned in the ladies toilet at Gatwick Airport when he was just ten days old. An international police search was fruitless and "Gatwick Gary" as he was dubbed, was adopted by a loving family. But with no birth certificate or clue to even his country of origin, Steven has spent his whole life not knowing where he came from.

Now, 24 years later, Gatwick Baby: Abandoned At Birth follows Steven as he embarks on a life defining search to find out his true identity. Steven has never stopped searching for answers, and having recently become a father himself, he can’t imagine what would ever make a parent abandon their child. He wants to know who left him at Gatwick and why.

Being found in an airport means this is a worldwide search with no boundaries. With the help of DNA testing, Steven is hoping to pinpoint his racial make up and narrow the search for his mum.

Along the way, Steven meets other ‘foundlings’ and hears the personal stories from those who have and haven’t found their birth mothers – but it’s not always a happy ending. Will Steven find the answers he has been so desperately searching for?

The one off documentary is part of Fresh – Â鶹Éç Three's first time director's scheme.

Meet The Multiples

Preparing for the arrival of a new baby can be a stressful experience for first-time parents, but what happens when you're told you are expecting more than one child? Meet The Multiples captures what life is really like for couples in this situation, from the physical toll of being pregnant to insights into how it feels to reach young adulthood having grown up with so many same-aged siblings.

Eye-opening and insightful, the film reveals what to expect when you’re rearing more than one child at once, along with some astonishing insights into how it feels to reach young adulthood when you’ve grown up with siblings of the same age. From twins to quads, this one off documentary explores the highs and the lows of life in a family of multiples.

Kelly and Carl already have seven children between them and have just given birth to triplets. Like most multiples they were born prematurely at 29 weeks and are fighting for survival. They’re anxious to get the babies home, but with neither parents working or driving, how will they cope as a 12 person family?

Maria has quads, now ten years old they are striving out as individuals. Similarly, the 18 year old Hendow triplets are going their separate ways as each go off to different universities. Will they succeed in their quest to be distinguished as individuals and lead the lives they each want?

Misbehaving Mums To Be

This warm and uplifting six-part series follows a team of midwives as they take pregnant women who binge drink, chain smoke and overeat and help them get back into shape before they give birth.

Being pregnant is one of the most exciting times in a woman’s life, but increasingly women are putting their babies at risk before they are even born. 20% of women smoke during pregnancy; a 35% of women continue to drink alcohol; and 20% of pregnant women are worryingly obese.

Each week, we see three soon to be mums working with the specialist midwives who will show them the impact of their bad habits to give them a wake up call they won’t forget. Using their extensive experience and cutting edge technology, the midwives help these women transform their bad habits and reverse the dangers currently posed to their babies’ lives.

Together they'll create a personalised plan to get these misbehaving mums back in shape for the most important event of their lives.

Can the midwives convince these unhealthy women to quit their damaging ways for the sake of their babies or will they continue to ignore the warnings regarding their health and that of their unborn children?
