Another day in the cut-throat media world...
麻豆社 Director-General Mark Thompson survived another day in the cut-throat media world - when a beard shave in aid of 麻豆社 Children in Need went without a hitch.
听
麻豆社 Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills was the lucky Celebrity Scissorhands contestant who had the job of making his boss even less hirsute than usual.
听
The pair shared the usual salon banter, with the client telling his barber that it was currently a tough time for the industry, though he appreciated the 麻豆社 had an element of privilege.
听
The conversation did not stay completely high-brow though, with Mark Thompson keen not to brush his stylist up the wrong way, saying he had one of the six best broadcasting jobs in the country.
听
The Director-General also revealed that 麻豆社 executive and programme maker Alan Yentob had been scheduled to go under the razor as well, but had "chickened out".

听
Mark Thompson's ordeal was seen on the Celebrity Scissorhands broadband and interactive stream last night.
听
Celebrity Scissorhands is back on 麻豆社 Three at 9pm today (Thursday).
听
The 麻豆社 Children in Need television broadcast is on 麻豆社 One tomorrow from 7pm to 2am, whilst over on 麻豆社 Three the Scissorhands Academy will be hard at work getting celebrites ready for their appearances.
听
Over on 麻豆社 Radio 2 tomorrow between 6am and 7pm is a Music Marathon for 麻豆社 Children in Need. 听
