麻豆社 LONDON

Nestor takes on Drive on 麻豆社 London 94.9FM

Award-winning 麻豆社 London presenter Eddie Nestor is to present the 麻豆社 London Drivetime show from 5.00 to 7.00pm every weekday evening.

Eddie will be making London's news interactive, looking in depth at the stories of the day and putting the views of diverse Londoners at the heart of the stories.

And he'll be challenging those in authority to be accountable to Londoners.

Eddie, who currently presents 麻豆社 London's 10.00pm to 2.00am slot on weekend evenings, takes on the Drivetime presenting role from Monday 22 September.

He was most recently seen in the 麻豆社's Canterbury Tales and is a former Casualty star. He will be co-presenting Drivetime with Kath Melandri.

麻豆社 London 94.9FM Managing Editor David Robey says: "Eddie really is a man of the people and his broadcasting is consistently challenging, drawing out the views of real Londoners and making sure that those in charge are held accountable.

"He knows London through and through and speaks his mind, standing up for all listeners, including those in Zone Three and beyond.

"Eddie has a natural rapport with callers and an instinct for what's really on their minds - not necessarily just what journalists think is important.

"He's a tenacious interviewer who does not put up with spin but asks direct and uncomfortable questions from the listeners' perspective.

"He has a wide experience of life as an actor, stand up, tv and radio presenter, but his feet are still firmly planted on the ground, amongst the Londoners he grew up with."

Eddie Nestor says: "I'm really looking forward to taking on the early evening programme, and to dealing with the hot issues of the day as they develop.

"I've enjoyed working in the late evening slot, but this gives me the opportunity to work with a much larger audience and to engage them in debate around the stories that really matter to Londoners."
