麻豆社 LONDON

Eddie Nestor - the new voice of weekend evenings on 麻豆社 London 94.9FM

Eddie Nestor will be broadcasting to Londoners, on 麻豆社 London 94.9FM, every weekend evening, Friday to Sunday, from 4 April 2003.

Eddie, a well known TV and stage actor as well as broadcaster, will be on air every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.00pm until 2.00am, increasing his broadcasting time from eight hours to 12 hours a week and becoming 麻豆社 London's own regular weekend nighthawk.

He says: "It's great to have a regular slot and brilliant that I get more time to talk to my callers.

"I'm a real nighthawk and I love chatting to listeners about what's on their minds.

"I'll have some great guests and lively conversation, so every weekend mine will be the best party in town."

David Robey, Managing Editor of 麻豆社 London 94.9FM, says: "Eddie is an exciting and talented broadcaster. We want to ensure that our listeners have a regular appointment to tune into his programmes.

"By placing Eddie at the same time every weekend evening, listeners will know where and when to find him.

"Eddie will continue to serve a wide range of listeners, as he does now, but without losing the programme's emphasis on issues that are particularly relevant to the African-Caribbean community."

Notes to Editors

Eddie's programmes will continue to be produced by his regular team, led by Senior Producer, Kim Davis.

As a consequence of this schedule change, a number of other changes ensue:

Smokey Joe moves to Monday evening: 8.00-10.00pm;

Word for Word with Dotun Adebayo moves to Sunday evening: 6.00-8.00pm.
