WEST MIDLANDS REGIONAL TV

Ashley Blake to present Inside Out

Ashley Blake is to present the new series of the regional current affairs programme Inside Out, it has been announced today (Tuesday 29 April 2003).

He'll link up with the team for the new series, and will divide his time between the Midlands and London, as he's also a reporter on the 麻豆社 ONE consumer affairs programme Watchdog.

Ashley, 33, says: "It's fantastic being back in the Midlands and I'm really looking forward to getting around the area again.

"I've really enjoyed my time in London, but I've missed my home town of Birmingham and above all, the people here.

"Working on Inside Out is a great opportunity for me, and we have some very exciting stories coming up in the new series."

Series Editor, Andrew Tomlinson, adds: "We're delighted to welcome Ashley to the team.

"He did some reporting for us before joining Watchdog, so we're pleased we can now share his experience and talent."

Ashley joined the 麻豆社 in January 2001, as a reporter and presenter on the regional news programme 麻豆社 Midlands Today, and was later snapped up by Watchdog as a reporter working alongside Nicky Campbell and Kate Saunderson.

Away from work, Ashley holds a National B Rally Driving Licence and takes part in club rallies.

He's also training for his private pilot's licence and enjoys ski-ing, mountain biking and canoeing.

His most recent achievement however, was to be voted as one of the country's most eligible bachelors in a national magazine!

Inside Out returns on Monday 2 June at 7.30pm on 麻豆社 ONE with some "surprising stories from familiar places".
