Ben
McCarthy to present major television series
One of the 麻豆社's top news correspondents, Ben McCarthy, has been
named as presenter of the new regional programme, Inside Out, which
broadcasts across the region on 麻豆社 ONE from September.
Inside Out will focus on different aspects of life in the Midlands,
and will include stories from Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire,
Stoke, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, plus Birmingham and the Black
Country.
Each week will see Ben in a different part of the region, bringing
a range of surprising stories from familiar places.
Birmingham born, Ben has an outstanding track record in broadcast
journalism. He began his career at 麻豆社 WM, then spent two years
at Sky News before moving to ITN in 1994 as their North of England
correspondent. Whilst at ITN, he spent time in Washington, Moscow
and Iraq.
He returned to the 麻豆社 in April last year to work for News 24 and
since February, Ben has been the Midlands correspondent for 麻豆社
News.
Ben says: "Presenting Inside Out offers a great new challenge
for me and I can't wait to get started.
"I was born and brought up in the Midlands so I feel a real
connection with the area. I'm really looking forward to meeting
people from all walks of life during the series and uncovering some
remarkable stories."

Inside Out will be broadcast on 麻豆社 ONE at peak time on Monday evenings.
