FACTS

Age: Claims to have a history that dates back to 1189.

Name: It is said to be named The Trip because the Crusaders dropped off here to grab a quick pint of Kimberley Mild on the way to rid the Holyland of the heathens.

The Trip's cellars are built into the cliff on which Nottingham Castle stands.
