The Flintshire town of Buckley, perched on a hill overlooking the River Dee estuary, became famous in the 18th and 19th Centuries for its mining and brick-making industries, and also for its potteries. Locally, Buckley is also known for its unusual dialect, which evolved from the diverse combination of dialects of the migrants workers who moved to the area, and the native spoken Welsh. More...
