Your Story: Grandma

Question 1:What was the fashion then and what was your favourite outfit?

The fashion was frilled petticoats and flared skirts and my favourite outfit was a grey suit with a short tight skirt that I made myself

Question 2:What job did you have and can you describe your duties?

My job was a sowing machinist in a factory making garments for Marks and Spencers

Question 3:What kind of things did you do for entertainment?

We used to go to pubs and clubs to listen to rock and roll groups

Question 4:What kind of food did you have and what was your favourite meal?

We used to have Sunday lunches,Fish and chips and Stemmed pudding and my favourite meal was bacon,egg,tomato and mushrooms

Question 5:What was your ambition and have you achieved it?

My ambition was to get married and to have a family which I have achieved

Question 6:Where did you spend your holidays and what was your favourite holidays?

We spend our holidays at Seahouses and varies places camping and they were my favourite holidays

Question 7:What did you use to travel

We used a car and a caravan to travel

Question 8:What kind of shops where there and what was your favourite?

The shops were mainly the same as they are now but much smaller and my favourite shop was Marks and Spencers

Question 9:What year was it when you were 21?

It was the year 1968 More...
