Your Story: Pub Cleaner

I then cleaned the pubs ready for opening time. I cleaned glasses, the tables, the bar and worst of all the toilets. I enjoyed my job very much and always took pride in my work. There was not a lot of work avaialble for women at this time but this job fitted in with my family commitments perfectly. I still keep in touch with staff from the pubs and of course the regular drinkers and miss work a lot.
