Your Story: My Grandad and Grandmar

He worked in a garage and during this time had an accident with his hand, losing a finger whilst loading petrol drums onto a truck. He was rushed to hospital and is ok now.

My grandma whose name is Muriel Dean worked as a hairdresser. She earned £25 every two weeks. She says she didn't care for the fashion of the day which were flared trousers. `
