Your Story: Sheila Smith

My sister and I went to the dance once a week and it used cost 1 shilling and 6 pence, we walked there and back to save money. I enjoyed work especially the money and most of my career was spent in nursing.

I worked in Walkergate, the General, Freeman, Preston Hospital and Hadrian. Nursing has changed alot since I was young, mainly due to new technology.

This was typed by my granddaughter, Jordan.
