The society cares for areas of natural beauty, fields of rare orchids, buildings of historic interest both within St Peter Port and also in the rural areas which are of outstanding interest and importance. In addition to this they also manage the small island of Houmet Paradis on the East coast of the island, the Folk Museum and shop and a fine collection of costumes.
