Our 麻豆社 Proms Inspire Day on Wednesday 22 August will bring together young composers aged 12 to 18 from across the UK to take part in a range of workshops and activities, including:
鈥� An opening warm up with Pete Letanka and Kerry Andrew
鈥� Speed-mentoring with Inspire Ambassadors (previous winners of the Inspire Competition)
鈥� An introduction to Virtual Reality from composer Anna Meredith following the first ever VR Prom and a chance to try out an immersive VR experience
Participants can also choose between the following workshops:
鈥� Composition masterclass with Kerry Andrew (please note this workshop is now closed)
鈥� Song-writing with Rachel Collier
鈥� Jam and improvisation with Pete Letanka
There will be something for everyone, whether an experienced composer or a beginner who is curious to find out more! Participants will also be reserved a place at the sold-out Inspire Concert at the Radio Theatre and two free Promming passes to Prom 54 at the Royal Albert Hall.
This event is open to 12-18 year olds (parents/guardians do not need to accompany as participants will be chaperoned by the 麻豆社). Please be aware places are limited and advance booking is required.
