Five Facts about Misery

- Another Lennon/McCartney original. It was offered to Helen Shapiro who was headlining the package tour The Beatles had joined earlier in the month. Paul said in an interview; "We've called it 'Misery', but it isn't as slow as it sounds, it moves along at quite a pace, and we think Helen will make a pretty good job of it."

- However this plan came to nothing and it ended up being recorded by Kenny Lynch who was also on the tour. Lynch later turned up on the front cover of "Band On the Run"

- Best known for "Shake Some Action" it appears on the fifth album by The Flamin' Groovies who covered it in 1976.

- It was recorded at the end of the afternoon session after 11 takes.

- Its Side 1, Track 2.
