Please Please Me - Live at Abbey Road
Jo ends a special day of live music from Abbey Road, celebrating The Beatles' debut album 'Please, Please Me', which the Fab Four recorded on this day 50 years ago.
Jo brings to an end a special day of exclusive live performances from Abbey Road, as Radio 2 re-creates The Beatles debut album Please, Please Me in just 12 hours. The original album was recorded exactly 50 years ago today and as part of The Golden Age of The Album Season on Radio 2, we're bringing a whole host of artists back to the studio where the Fab Four originally recorded their legendary debut. Throughout the day artists including Stereophonics, Mick Hucknall and Joss Stone have each re-recorded and performed live one of the tracks from the album and Jo will continue the celebrations with a special three-and-a-half hour show in which she'll be joined by a host of Beatles experts to explore the importance and impact of this album.
