About This Event
PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.
If you're aged 12 to 18 and want to create your own music, come along to our free Â鶹Éç Proms Inspire Day on 13 August where you'll have the chance to make music, meet other young musicians and learn from some of today's leading composers and artists. There will be something for everyone, whether an experienced composer or a beginner who is curious to find out more!
Participants can take part in a full-day workshop with composer Samantha Fernando and exciting new music ensemble The Hermes Experiment, or can instead choose to alternate between two taster sessions in film composition and songwriting. As well as this, there will be:
• Speed-mentoring with Inspire Ambassadors (previous winners of the Inspire Competition)
• A lunch-time folk jam with Ruairi Glasheen
• A Q&A with composers featured in Prom 35
All participants will be reserved a place at the free Inspire Concert, which will take place from 5-6pm at the iconic Â鶹Éç Maida Vale Studios. To top it off, participants can also request two free Promming passes (standing tickets) to the evening Prom at the Royal Albert Hall.
This event is open to 12-18 year olds (parents/guardians do not need to accompany as participants will be chaperoned by the Â鶹Éç).
Please be aware places are limited and advance booking is required. Booking will be open until 5pm on Friday 26 July.
