information
Join us to celebrate Â鶹Éç Music Day 2016 to create a new, collaborative piece of music and perform/record it in the Â鶹Éç Philharmonic Studio at MCUK, with your friends from the Â鶹Éç Philharmonic, your friends from the Nottingham Family Orchestra & chorus and students from the RNCM.
This performance will form part of the Â鶹Éç’s annual celebration of music – Â鶹Éç Music Day 2016 which will happen on Friday 3rd June across all media and digital platforms.
Who is the Salford Family Orchestra & Chorus?
Now in its 6th year, the Salford Family Orchestra is a project that brings together enthusiastic musicians and their families, who live or work in Salford.
Can I take part?
Yes! We would really like to encourage new families to join us. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced players, whether aged 8 or 88, provided you live, work or attend school or college in Salford. You don’t need to be able to play and instrument – you can sing or play a percussion instrument (which will be provided).
What does it involve?
Your new piece will evolve from a series of creative, practical workshops, where most of the ideas will come from you and the Â鶹Éç team will simply help you to craft and refine them. You will need to attend all three of the rehearsals, as well as the performance day on 3rd June.
