About this event
Join Mary King and members of the Â鶹Éç Singers to explore the high drama of the St John Passion and the importance of the choral role in the piece. The workshop will suit singers who know the work well, and wish to explore the vocal qualities that the drama demands. If you don't know the work, then sight reading ability is an advantage, but not a pre-requisite. The workshop is open to ages 16-plus.
The Royal College of Music is just opposite the Royal Albert Hall – so when the workshop is finished you can make your way to the concert to hear the music you’ve just been singing performed in full. For details about booking Proms tickets click here.
How to book Proms Plus Sing workshops are free to attend but places must be reserved in advance.
Click on the ‘sign up’ box above and complete the online booking form. Please note that places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis (per section). A member of the Â鶹Éç Proms Learning team will be in touch within 10 days to confirm if your booking has been successful. Bookings can be made until 5pm on Friday 25 July.
