Scheherzade

We welcome conductor Xian Zhang for her first concert in Swansea as our Principal Guest Conductor.

Scheherazade, based on the story The Arabian Nights, is a dazzlingly colourful work full of rhythmic vitality and flavours of the Orient: Coupled with Benjamin Britten’s electrifyingly depictive Four Sea Interludes from the opera Peter Grimes; and Shostakovich’s heroic, playful and spirited Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and String. This concert promises to take you on a journey across stormy oceans to the opulence of the East.

Tickets: £15-20
