麻豆社 Radio 3's Friday Night is Music Night and the 麻豆社 Concert Orchestra come to Snape Maltings.

The wonderfully varied programme ranges from Britten folksongs to Elgar's bewitching Romance, and includes popular orchestral showpieces such as Shostakovich's Festive Overture and Eric Coates' rousing Knightsbridge March. It also features a number of works for bassoon solo, including Fu膷铆k's delightfully characterful The Old Grumbly Bear.

The evening is presented by Katie Derham and will be broadcast on 麻豆社 Radio 3 at a later date, and will then also be available on 麻豆社 Sounds.
