'The day I nearly drowned' - Â鶹Éç Memoryshare
Dhughes452 from Saltney recollects:-
"In 1951 when I was seven years old I fell into the river Dee and was saved by the Ferry Man. How it happened I'm not sure. One minute I was sitting on the steps playing and the next minute people were shouting that there was a boy in the water who was drowning! I was in Eccleston Ferry with my Dad and my sister Carole, and we were there because my Dad used to sell Ice cream from a van by the river."
