Wild Welsh Zoo

Martin Aaron Martin Aaron | 12:10 UK time, Tuesday, 8 September 2009

Did you know that a total bill for a zebra's manicure can cost well over a thousand pounds? Well don't worry - neither did I!

But fear not, you'll find out plenty more when Wild Welsh Zoo arrives on our screen on Weds 08 Sept, 8pm on Â鶹Éç One Wales.

The documentary follows Anna Ryder Richardson and her family as they get to grips with running Manor House Wildlife Park just outside Tenby.

I can remember going there as a kid in the 70's when it was called Manor House Leisure Park as they had a long wave slide, some go carts and the odd peacock - we were easily pleased back then ;0

My old headmaster once confided in me that he saw a ghost there...a lantern floated across a room in the old manor house one night so keep an eye out for that!

But back to the zoo...

Anna Ryder-Richardson has bought a 52-acre zoo near Tenby. The gates open for the new season in just 24 hours, but the park is far from finished...

A new up-market 'meerkat' enclosure is ready, but catching meerkats proves to be pretty tricky - cue comedy moment with Anna and a big net.

Most people will recognise Anna from her days as interior designer on Â鶹Éç'S Changing Rooms - and it's high time the Â鶹Éç brought that back, as I've been missing the theme tune!

Don't start thinking about it, or it will stick in your head all day.
Too late? Sorry...

It sounds like Anna is having fun though:
