Christian Bale wins Golden Globe for The Fighter

Wales-born actor Christian Bale last night scooped the Golden Globe award for best supporting actor for his role in The Fighter.

The ceremony also saw British actor Colin Firth win the best actor award for his role as King George VI in The King's Speech, while The Social Network and Glee were the main winners at the awards night, held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
