Tony Award nomination for Catherine Zeta Jones

Catherine Zeta Jones has received a Tony Award nomination for best performance by a leading actress in a musical, for her role in Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music.

Zeta Jones played Desiree Armfeldt and starred alongside Alexander Hanson and Angela Lansbury in the Broadway production. She will contest the prestigious award with Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow), Sherie Rene Scott (Everyday Rapture), Montego Glover (Memphis) and Christiane Noll (Ragtime).
