I hope Alan is well and alive. The EU should have taken a much more tough position in relation to the Palestinian government. A civilian government(?)who aspires full recognition from the international comunity can not tolerate armed bands (terrorists) within their territory.

I was totally disgusted watching last nights late evening news on Â鶹Éç1, to be advised by the presenter that the 'top story' was SMP had taken scotland, when in fact a 3 yr old girl was missing in Portugal - what type of society places human life above that of Politics? I appreciate politics is important and that what happens is for the whole of the country, but as a parent and a British citizen to be told politics was top news above the a 3yr old girl, totally disgusted me. I would like to know who makes these decisions and if it is thought that the British public would place politics above 3 yr old Maddy, then how out of touch is that?
