Dorkbots run riot in space
Hello there!
You've been telling us about your amazing work on-line and we have been chasing up people who do interesting things with electricity. The podcast is ready and waiting for your listening pleasure and hopefully has something to inspire us all.
If there is a page you are interested in or a character you want to follow up and find out more, this is where you will find all of the links.
Last week I escaped the confines of the office and scrambled off to a event in London. Dorkbot is a place where electrically inclined people meet and talk about their projects and creations in a show and tell style. It's fascinating and it's fun. Peter Brownell, the self proclaimed "janitor" of the event told me more about how it came to be and what it is like.
Do hipsters listen to podcasts or is that the realm of the geeks? If you are settled into those stereotypes you may think that the fashionable crowd are unlikely to get into podcasting. To the contrary, Patrick Hussey of hailed us on Twitter to let us know about his listings and podcast site for people who like to go out.
Please note with RunRiot the content is for adults and may contain some strong language.
Following on from Patrick's enthusiasm for the podcasts, I came across where space science, robots and entertainment come together under the careful curation of Michael Doornbos. Space related fun and fact all wrapped up in multimedia offerings.
Fun for most people whether at a desktop, listening to downloads or heading out this week. As usual, it's more fun for us when you get in touch and we are always chasing up leads offered by the Pods and Blogs audience.
You can email me at Podsandblogs at bbc dot co dot uk or come and say hello on Twitter where we are known as Podsandblogs. Everyone is welcome.
Until next week!
- Jamillah
