Good Morning Britain and welcome to another day on Planet Earth.

Chris Evans | 09:17 UK time, Monday, 10 October 2011

Boy it's good to be excited about going back to work. How lucky are those of us who feel that way? And this time, for the first time as long as I can remember, it genuinely felt like we'd been away for ages. Too long methinks.

Thanks for being there today. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Plus, please will you consider informing the powers that be of a collective will to see the genius that is Adrian Newey knighted for his services to motorsport. No one, in the modern day era has achieved anything that comes close to what Adrian has achieved. A master of the mysterious but beguiling art of aerodynamics and mechanical engineering.

Ta.

See you tomorrow - on the radio that is.

Peace and Love

Hiya Chris: just wonderful to have you back - it was (almost) a pleasure to get up and 6.30 this morning, and know you would be there! I'm sorry, I know nothing of Adrian or indeed motorsport in general, but with you on his side, he's in with a chance of that Knighthood!

Hi everyone else - hope everything is ok with you.

    C xx

Good morning Chris, the Breakfast Crew and fellow Bloggers everywhere!

Yep, my ears breathed a huge sigh of relief this morning and laughter was restored with the little girl who lost 26-1 in her first footie match. I was only praying her answer wouldn't be "Goalkeeper" when asked what part she played in the team! Bless ....

Norralot going on at work today (hence my being here blogging!) but off to find something for Mini Nic's birthday present when I finish here at half one - he's going to be 9!

    Right. Onwards and upwards.

    Truly Madly Deeply

    Afternoon each

I echo all the sentiments above Chris - so very nice to have you back.

Ginormous congratulations to Deevs and Mr BP.

Had a very stressful morning driving round Edinburgh looking for where my meeting was. Finally gave up and came home - 2hrs, 48 miles for nothing. Was not a happy bunny. And have to do it all again on Thursday - think I'll get the bus.

Bingo, the Rev's advice about fruit was good.

PS Still didn't get my salary sorted, the payroll woman is off sick... Grrrr!!!

  • Comment number 21.

Hi JG, hope you've got your dinner.

Yes, I have a satnav but youngest son has got it and the navigation on the phone is in a foreign language I think.

  • Comment number 22.

I stupidly took directions from a friend who lives in Edinburgh. Forgot she doesn't know her left from her right!!!

    xxxx

  • Comment number 23.

No, not yet Annie, just had a phone call, so haven't had chance yet!!

I've never tried sat-nav, the ex used to use it, and it used to rudely interrupt conversations!!

OK, Moroccan style Veggie Tajeen heading to the microwave as I type...

    Evening all,

Glad to see buisiness is back to normal Chris and that you 've had a good break, and Adrian who!! ,sorry not into motor sport ,I just know Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton, dont even know if I'm on the right type of racing that you are talking about.

Deev, well done you on passing with a merit ,the only way to go ,congratulations .

Baggy ,well done to Mr Baggy , he must have been working hard at his studies to achieve his masters.

Beginning to feel a bit mean when I say that we've had another lovely day here again today ,but it has been rather lovely.,so I hope it's been the same for all of you .

On the other hand we've found a leak in the kitchen ,and we don't know how long it's been there as it's in rather a mess ,wont say too much more only that I think it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. And that it's in the most awkward of places.
Not too worry it will get sorted at some point. got too much else going on at the moment here ,very busy Mr B's b/day this w/end and we are away for the next two w/ends after that so busy time ehead .
funny how things pan out like that isn't it .don't do anything for ages and then wham !!! it's all go.

    Bids.xxx.

Sezza, well it's not looking good ,our freind came in tonight to have a look, cupboards have to come out and some of the floor replaced ,its been leaking for god knows how long ,didn't even know that there was a water pipe there .

MTF,yes you did see it so you know how difficult its going to be, but it wiil get sorted .

    Bids.xxx.

  • Comment number 30.

Just noticed that there has been three different spellings of tagine ..Well done Sezza, have to admit ,don't really know what it is ,but I guess it must be spicy.

    Bids.xxx.

  • Comment number 31.

Sezza, you can buy from the bottom-slapping shop, in the fresh ready meal veggie section, it was gorgeous!!

Actually, they have a good selection of tasty food...I cba just for me anymore!

    J|G x

  • Comment number 32.

    I love a tagine.

It combines so many flavours. I wait to be corrected, but in my experience, its a combination of a cooking method, ie the shape of the tagine, the meat and the added ingredients?

    MTF.xx

  • Comment number 33.

JG, I'll look out for it. I might even pop in tomorrow when I'm near. Although I might wait a while until they get the Pudsey T-Shirts in

Bids, a tagine is a type of cooking pot but is also used for the type of stew cooked in it. Comes from Morroco or there abouts so often has cinnamon and such in - not hot and spicy but very tasty

    Night all

MTF mine was a veggie one with butternut squash, delicious!! Not sure how to spell it, just copied what it said on the cover!! lol

    JG x

  • Comment number 35.

    Hi Sezza and JG.

Between us, I think we have got it covered.

I cant get enough butternut squash at the moment.

    MTF.xx

  • Comment number 36.

Thanks girls, actually that sounds quite nice ,don't often use cinnamon in main dishes , just might have to try one of those..

We have certainly come a long way in cookery in the last few years with all these foreign recipes ,It must be wonderful just to travel the world just to taste all the diffrent types of foods and find all the different spices.

    Good morning all,

Just sitting finishing breakfast and looking out into the big wide world ,at the moment it's cloudy and a little on the dark side and a bit on the breezy side. And I have just seen rain drops on the window.
That's not my problem for today ,mine is ,what are we going to have for dinner tonight ,decisions!!.

Take care all and have a good day.

    Bids...xxx.

  • Comment number 40.

Morning all & Bids, with all talk last night I think you should do a tagine Bids! Now then, dont be asking me how to do one, clueless in that I am LOL

Murky and grey here to, but I'm working from home again today so no real need to venture out into it. On that note best get on.

    Happy Tuesday everyone
