Aisha fun

Raj&Pablo | 12:54 UK time, Sunday, 8 August 2010

It's been a fun week - we loved Sonam Kapoor's feel good take on Jane Austen's Emma.Ìý Aisha is a fun, frothy chick-flick and is sure to leave a smile on your face!

We caught up with star of the film, Sonam Kapoor and her dad, Anil Kapoor a couple of weeks ago when they were down in London and Sonam told us all about how she argued with her sister over a blanket while they were shooting the film! You heard our chat with Sonam and her daddy Anil Kapoor on Saturday's show- don't worry if you missed it though, you can listen to it online by going to bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork and you can even hear it on this week's Love Bollywood podcast.

We also celebrated the 50th Aniversary of one of the greatest Bollywood movies ever made - K Asif's magnus opus, Mughal-E-Azam. It starred Ranbir Kapoor's great grandfather, Prthivraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Madhubala - the film took nine years to make.Ìý

Mughal-E-Azam is the story of Salim, the son of Emperor Akbar and Jodhaa Ben, who falls in love with the beautiful courtesan, Anarkali. Salim's father, Akbar, objects to the relationship and the film follows the story of Salim's anguish between true love and parental obligation.

If you enjoyed Jodhaa Akbar, you will love this epic! It's one for all those Bollywood romantics out there - do make sure you watch it!
