The 麻豆社 World Service Corporate Governance Framework

麻豆社 World Service is funded by a Parliamentary Grant-in-Aid, administered by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the British government.

Operationally, 麻豆社 World Service is part of the 麻豆社. The FCO, in close consultation with 麻豆社 World Service, is involved in the process of deciding which languages are broadcast, but production and editorial control rests entirely with the 麻豆社.

The relationship between 麻豆社 World Service and the FCO is governed by two documents: the Broadcasting Agreement, which sets out the aims and objectives of 麻豆社 World Service and provisions for performance assessment; and, the Financial Memorandum, which sets out the financial arrangements.

The 麻豆社 World Service Board is operationally responsible for complying with these two documents.

Within the 麻豆社 ultimate responsibility for 麻豆社 World Service is vested in the 麻豆社 Trust, which is the sovereign body of the corporation. The 麻豆社 Trust and the 麻豆社 executive Board ensure that 麻豆社 World Service operates responsibly and maintains high standards of editorial integrity and content.

The respective responsibilities of the 麻豆社 Trust and the 麻豆社 executive Board relating to the operation of 麻豆社 World Service are outlined in a protocol published by the 麻豆社 Trust.
