Sannie in Nigeria posted on Facebook: You dont just kill Osama and dump his body into the sea, you show the corpse to the world so that, those that feels terrified by his "virtual" presence will have some reassuring comfort, and his followers will know they are not invincible.

Viktoria emailed the Russian service: It's astonishing to see how Russian patriots sympathise with bin Laden. I believe now that if Hitler was fighting only against the States, Russians would support him.

Ashley in the US: OBLs body was dumped in the ocean to prevent a shrine to his memory being created at the place of his burial. What country in their right mind would want him buried in their soil. Barack Obama can't win.

Corey in the US emails: I agree with the steps taken by the American government so far. I am sure proof will be given, as it is being demanded, as soon as an appropriate method for disclosing it can be agreed upon.

Mustafa in the UK: For me as a normal Libyan muslim I'm pleased to hear of his death because he was giving a bad reputation of Islam

@麻豆社_WHYS who in the world said it would be blasphemous to hold a dead body for more than 24 hours? Does the CIA think we are morons?

Kris in the US emails: I'm an American, and I too would like to see pictures of OBL. I think Americans have a proclivity towards conspiracies, because of the history of the lack of credibility and misleading information from not only our govt, but also the free-speaking public.

Adil in Pakistan emailed the 麻豆社: There is no any authentic evidence that Osama Bin Laden is been deceased, which is really incredible. This is not an appropriate way to terminate the saga of the decade. At least his picture should have been shown. Or any other strong proof should have been shown.

Brenda in Florida emails: My question for those who doubt the official story is this: what would you accept as proof that Osama bin Laden died, and what did you want our government to do with the body? Should they have brought it to America and put it on display? What a farce that would be!

Abu-Eleiz in Egypt: In this age, every thing can be faked with no exception. What i cant see, touch and feel is merely a possibility. For me, its 50% plausible,50% incredulous.

Why these doubts expressions? Osama leader of wrong group terroring the world till now is no more. Our next move now to me is to see how unity will cometo stay between the muslims, christians and the rest of the world. Live together and allow true justice to come from the almighty God when He so decide on religion. America has good intent but it is better they start going back home and use their remaining energy to make life still more easier for emulation. S. Adegbuji-Onikoyi

Alex in Utah: The reason the US does not publish photos of Osama is because out of respect and because it would be inflammatory to the rest of the world.

what's so unreasonable about wanting to see images of #OBL. We saw images of Saddam being hanged & captured, why not #OBL?

@麻豆社_WHYS I worry the sea burial will lead to speculation that they desecrated the body and inflame the nutcase terrorists- Leila
