Scene from the Nativity

Gold, Frankenstein & Mirror

Last updated: 19 December 2010

This year's Christmas edition of All Things Considered, presented by Roy Jenkins, features the behind the scenes story of the making of "Christmas - The Story" - a pioneering version of the Nativity. Told through the eyes of Sally Humble-Jackson, who came up with the idea, the programme covers a span of 14 months, following the ups and downs, triumphs and traumas of the project which brought together more than 150 volunteers from the churches of Cardiff for 11 performances a day for over three weeks in the heart of Cardiff's bustling shopping centre. A gift from the churches of Cardiff to the people of Cardiff, the intention was to tell the real story of Christmas, through a simple but effective 20 minute production which appealed to all ages.

"All Things Considered" is broadcast on Sunday 19 December at 9.00 am and repeated on Thursday 23 December at 5.30 am.
