On All Things Considered this week (Sunday 12 December at 9.00am repeated on Thursday 16 December at 5.30am), Roy Jenkins presents our annual outing through the films released on DVD during the year.

Unusually our three main selections are all based on true stories. How faithful they are to the real events, our reviewers have been deciding for themselves - and for us, of course.

The programme takes us around the world - to Russia, South Africa and America, and with a few stops at some mysterious destinations along the way. Each of our guests will also tell us about the one film which has delighted them during the year, and why we should be making sure we don't miss it.

So suitably relaxed after a few evenings in front of their tv screens, Roy welcomes Julia Houlston Clark, a chaplain at Cardiff prison; Andrew Morton, vicar of Llangybi near Usk; and Amanda Russell Jones, who is a teacher.
