Bernhard Langer
Last updated: 26 September 2010
With golf's most exciting team competition coming to the Celtic Manor this week, Wales is buzzing with Ryder Cup fever. And the guest featured in this week's All Things Considered is someone who knows all about the highs and lows of this most passionately fought golfing spectacle.
Bernhard Langer is one of the icons of the game with over 80 tournament career victories around the world. Twice a winner of The Masters, he's a former World No. 1, and was a stalwart for Europe in the Ryder Cup - 10 times as a player, and once as a winning Team Captain. Now enjoying a new lease of life on the Champions' Tour - winning back to back Majors this summer - he continues to be consistently under par and among the very best.
Not only a great sportsman, Bernhard Langer is also one of golf's most well known Christians and in conversation with Peter Baker, (recorded on the eve of The British Seniors' Open at Carnoustie) he talks about the Ryder Cup, his career, and how his faith has shaped him as a golfer, husband and father.
All Things Considered is broadcast on Sunday 26 September at 9am and repeated on Thursday 30 September 5.30 am.
